Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan:- The Youngest Winner of Miss America Pageant


Miss Teresa Scanlan from Nebraska created a history in America, Las Vegas after winning the Miss America pageant 2011 in 17 years of age. She is the the youngest winners in the 90-year history of Miss America. Miss America had lip-gloss and elegant evening gowns to dust up the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons.
Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron from Virginia, crowned her successor Teresa Scanlan from Nebraska at the end of this event. Delegates from the 50 states and the District of Columbia, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico competed for the title of Miss America 2011. The pageant was broadcast live on ABC. The 2-hour live telecast (tape delayed on the West Coast) held on to second for the night, with the audience growing to 7.85 million viewers.
Judge and Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry told the media that he had doubts about a 17-year-old as Miss America: “But she is very knowledgeable, and we were sold.” Joy added, “They were all cute, but she was the cutest.
She won a $50,000 scholarship, first runner-up Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady earned a $25,000 scholarship, and second runner-up Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier won a $20,000 scholarship.
